The DARK DRUM & BASS CONVENTION is promoting the dark and underground side of Drum And Bass, Jungle, Halfstep D&B and more. After the incredible launch in august with so much positive feedback, where we were celebrating the first event with our friend SOUNDIA from London, we’re pushing things one step further this time. As the event was initially set up as a meeting point for all DJs and listeners of darker Drum & Bass styles, we literally turned it into a convention of different genres with a total number of ten DJs on two floors. We’re getting prepared for a massive Drum And Bass night – getting started for 2016!
Very proud to announce our Headliner SURVEY, the much respected producer and DJ-duo from Berlin, who just recently released again on Noisia’s own label INVISIBLE RECORDINGS with their tune PATTERN [INVSB016], together with Tephra and Arkoze. But also with their releases on DSCI4, ETERNIA MUSIC and TRANSLATION RECORDINGS they proved to be one of the most promising international Drum And Bass artists. So much looking forward to this!
As Drum And Bass is still constantly emerging great musical diversity, the DARK DRUM & BASS CONVENTION is open to all kinds of styles instead of just focussing on one specific sub-genre. Still they have something in common – they’re DARK! Great to know that our local friends SELECTAH EL P and DUBBALOT (that night playing back to back!) will dig deep into the 160-BPM side of the genre.
We’re happy to welcome [KJU:BI] again, the DJs and producers from Leipzig and Halle, that might not even need to be introduced. The crew just celebrated their 15th anniversary! Big ups! Also, be prepared for CUES, bringing the FAT BEMME and BREAK THE SURFACE vibes to XX Superkronik, as well as RUZ, L.U.I., MECHXNIZED and PLASTIKS.
